Hello! My name is Veronika, but in the EGL community Iām known as Yuki. Iām a passionate admirer of Lolita fashion from the Czech Republic. My fascination with this style began back in elementary school, but I didnāt start wearing it until 2012. Since then, Iāve explored many different styles, though Gothic Lolita has ultimately captured my heart and remains my favourite.Iāve always been a dreamer. Itās wonderful to have your head in the clouds sometimes, even if it makes thinking realistically a bit of a challenge. Lolita fashion has been a cherished part of my life for many years, and it continues to be one of my most treasured hobbies.
If youāre wondering why my brand is called āLacrimenta,ā hereās the story!
As a professional daydreamer, I started writing a blog about lolita fashion in 2012 called Sleeping Doll. A few years later, I began working on my brand, but I never thought about giving it a proper name, so I simply kept the same one as my blog, Sleeping Doll.
At first, it didnāt bother me at all, but later I started to feel ātrapped in a doll boxā that I couldnāt escape from. I didnāt like the name anymore; I couldnāt feel its vibe, it just wasnāt me. I felt like people didnāt truly know who I was, not only as a person, but as a designer too.
Another reason was that, in Czechia, there were already two very similar Lolita brands: Porcelain Doll and Sleeping Beauty. My brand name was so close to theirs that people often mixed us up. Then, in August 2025, I finally got the idea and Lacrimenta was born!
Welcome to my inner world – LACRIMENTA
If you thought the name represents mourning or something sad, you were so wrong. Itās true that Lacrimenta comes from two Latin words: LACRIMA = āa tearā and FRAGMENTA = āa part.ā
Tears arenāt always something bad. Sometimes you cry tears of joy or happiness. In my case, they symbolize the essence of my soul – my inner world, my reflection. Lacrimenta is like a magical mirror into my small inner universe, like the looking glass in Alice in Wonderland, where I can create whatever I wish and dream of. Through that mirror, I can share my dreamy world with you through my creations. Thatās Lacrimenta.
